Research resources available to students include the faculty, department and institutional state-of-the-art biotechnology laboratory resources.

In addition to the state-of-the-art equipment within the department, many outstanding core facilities are available in the College of Medicine (COM) and adjacent Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC):
