The fellowship is a one-year UCNS certified clinical and research fellowship primarily based at UC Health West Chester North. The clinic team includes two UCNS certified behavioral neurologist physicians, a clinical nurse coordinator, two licensed social workers, Psychometrists and a clinical research coordinator. Fellows will also participate in patient care at affiliated hospitals and institutions to include Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and University of Cincinnati Gardner Center Institute. The fellow will manage their own patients in supervised clinics two days a week and see clinical research patients one to two days. Fellows participate in a variety of lectures as well as involvement with community experiences with geriatric fellows visiting local agencies such as Hospice, Pro-Seniors and Maple Knoll to name a few and volunteer at the Alzheimer’s Association care givers lecture series, annual seminars, and Alzheimer’s walks. He or she will participate in research and is expected to complete at least one research project or participate in clinical drug trials during their fellowship. The fellow will spend time with sub-specialists including movement disorders, sleep medicine, neuropsychology/speech, geropsychiatry and child neurology.
