This will be a three credit hour course covering the essential topics of cell biology as outlined in the AAMC guidelines for MCAT preparation with a specialized focus on the mechanisms by which cancer manipulates cellular pathways and the scientific rationale behind current therapeutics. The cell biology content will be based on Goodman’s Medical Cell Biology textbook which places an emphasis on the mastery of cell biology principles in the context of human disease.
