Welcome to the Department of Molecular & Cellular Biosciences (MCB) at the University of Cincinnati Academic Health Center. Please take a few moments to browse through the site and learn about our department, our research, and our graduate programs.
The department is part of the University of Cincinnati’s College of Medicine and currently comprised of 16 primary faculty members with interests including Structural Biology and Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology, and Cellular Signaling, Regenerative Biology and Neuroscience. The Department of Molecular & Cellular Biosciences is also the home Department for the University of Cincinnati's Graduate Program in Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry, and Microbiology.
The MCB Department and the Center for Advanced Structural Biology will be hosting a Cryo-EM Symposium on Friday, September 8, 2023. The celebration will take place at the Graduate Hotel on the University of
Cincinnati East/Medical campus in order to
commemorate the acquisition and installation of two Cryo-EM microscopes – Talos L120c and Glacios. Please join us!
The Department of Molecular and Cellular Biosciences is searching for Assistant /Associate Professors to join our current faculty in the ares of Structural Biology and Cryo Electron Microscopy. See the Cryo-EM core for more details. Applications will be reviewed beginning in late Fall 2023 for an anticipated start date in Summer 2024.
